Postdoctoral Fellows

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Fellows program was established with the primary goal of supporting talented doctorate holders and encouraging international research and innovative curriculum development. Made possible by a grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, in an effort to address concerns that the current socioeconomic crisis in Greece may lead to the loss of a generation of young scholars, these fellowships are open to Greek nationals with recent doctoral degrees from European universities. The two-year fellowships allow the fellows to spend one year in residence at the Columbia Global Centers│Europe in Paris and one year affiliated with the European Institute at Columbia University in New York.

The fellowship program was created by Victoria de Grazia, Moore Collegiate Professor of History and Director of the European Institute, and Mark Mazower, Ira D. Wallach Professor of History and Director of the Heyman Center for the Humanities.

Niarchos postdoctoral fellowships will not be offered in 2016-17.
