Students Visit Rockefeller Archive Center for Class Exercise

Professor Victoria Phillips took students from her courses to the Rockefeller Archive Center in Tarrytown, where the students engaged in archival exercises and learned more about the history of the Rockefeller Foundation.

On September 27, 2019, students from Professor Victoria Phillips' courses, Cold War Power and Women as Cold War Weapons, took a research trip to the Rockefeller Archive Center (RAC) in Tarrytown, New York. At the archive center, the students listened to a presentation from RAC employees on the history of the Rockefeller Foundation and received an overview of the collections held there. Students also engaged in several research exercises developed by the RAC educational team.

At the conclusion of the exercise, the students enjoyed a lunch provided by the RAC staff.
