Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice President of the EU Commission, Speaks at Columbia University

On September 23, 2019, Frans Timmermans spoke to the Columbia community about the various challenges facing the European Union today. His remarks included comments on sustainability and renewable energy, the rule of law, Brexit and EU enlargement, and the trans-Atlantic relationship.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Shailagh J. Murray, Executive Vice President for Public Affairs, Columbia University.

The talk was moderated by Pierre Vimont, Visiting Professor of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University.
