Concert – A New Song We Raise: Dutch Music of the Reformation

Photos from the concert, "A New Song We Raise: Dutch Music of the Reformation," which was held on October 16th, 2017, and was open to all members of the Columbia community. Camera Trajectina performed works by Dutch and French composers from the 16th century, including pieces by Van Eyck, Sweelink and Goudimel.

Camera Trajectina consists of

  • Hieke Meppelink (soprano)
  • Nico can der Meel (tenor)
  • Saskia Coolen (recorder and viola da gamba)
  • Cassandra Luckhardt (viola da gamba)
  • Arjen Verhage (lute)

The European Institute has uploaded the concert's program, which includes the lyrics to all the performed works.

This event was part of the New York Early Music Celebration 2017, a project of the Early Music Foundation, supported by the Netherlands-America Foundation, the General Delegation of the Government of Flanders to the USA, Dutch Culture USA (Netherlands Consulate General), and Dutch Music Export and was co-sponsored by the European Institute, the Program of Studies of the Dutch-Speaking World, the Music Performance Program, the Department of Music, and the Maison Française.
