Francesco Ronchi is Administrator at the Directorate for Democracy Support of the European Parliament. Previously, he has been Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the President of the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament. From 2011 to 2012 he served the United Nations as an electoral advisor in the Peace Building Mission for Ivory Coast. Since 2014 he has been Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po Paris where he teaches both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He is also a regular a commentator on European affairs for venues including Le Figaro and The Wall Street Journal. The workshop was moderated by Carlo Invernizzi Accetti, Associate Professor of Political Science, City University of New York & Visiting Associate Professor at SIPA, Columbia University. This workshop (November 4, 2020) is part of the Jean Monnnet module on politics in the EU, and was made possible thanks to the support of the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
