On October 5th, the European Institute was pleased to host His Excellency Matthew Barzun, United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Ambassador Barzun engaged his audience in a discussion on the importance of diplomacy and “bridge building” in a time of international concern on both sides of the Atlantic.

Adam Tooze, Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Professor of History at Columbia University, and Director of the European Institute moderated this event.
